SCOTT PING
whitefish builder
custom homes & ranches

Scott began what would become his life's work at the age of 16, working construction as a laborer on a road crew. His emerging career lead him through a diversity of jobs and locations from climbing highline poles as a lineman in the Midwest to plumbing, remodeling and custom home construction in some of the most prestigious areas in the mountains of Colorado - all the while, gathering skills and knowledge.

On his honeymoon trip with his new wife, Scott fell in love with Whitefish. He and his bride decided to move to the Flathead Valley to raise their family. Here, he got his start in homebuilding working for Wayne Veenerman, building some of the nicest homes in Northwest Montana in the late seventies and early eighties.

When the recession of the early eighties began, Scott decided to strike out on his own and start Ping Construction in 1983. While building homes on Whitefish Lake and around the Valley, Scott found time to enjoy his daughter Kelly, and their mutual love of sports lead Scott to coach her soccer and hockey teams. Their shared love of sports is something neither has outgrown. Kelly has gone on to become a sports nutritionist and now a Captain in the army – a source of great pride for Scott. Scott's continued love of sports and the great outdoors is evident. When he's not working on a home or construction project, you will find him riding horses, fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing, boating or ski joring.

Scott's passion for the community and volunteerism led him to become involved in the Rotary Club, and as President founded Les Mason Park on Whitefish Lake. Scott donates his time to numerous local events and organizations, including coaching wrestling, soccer and hockey. His involvement in the Whitefish Winter Carnival introduced Scott to his favorite winter sport – ski joring – and he recently became the President of the North American Ski Joring Association, as well as the North American Ski Joring Champion.

Scott's passion and enthusiasm are evident in all he does – from ski joring to building quality, one-of-a kind homes and ranches. Scott loves Northwest Montana and takes great pleasure in helping others find their perfect spot in Montana. This is why he expanded his professional portfolio by becoming a licensed real estate agent. His own experience with horses and running a ranch translate into his ability to locate, design and develop functional and well-planned ranches for his clients. Scott is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and his personal attention, experience, honesty, integrity and old-fashioned work ethic make him the best choice for anyone wishing to find and build their dream home or ranch in Montana.
